Sa-Nya-Ngoma is a sonic and spiritual journey into the heart of Southern African musical heritage — an offering by Indigenous Frequency, featuring an exceptional ensemble of master musicians.
Rooted in the ancient traditions of the Nguni and AbaMbo peoples, the name itself carries profound meaning: "Sa" refers to the Master, and "Ngoma" to the sacred arts of sound, movement, and divination. Sa-Nya-Ngoma is thus both a homage and a living expression of the mastery embedded in indigenous musical lineages — a dynamic interplay of rhythm, vibration, and harmony that transcends performance into heritage.
The work is under the musical direction of Nkosenathi Koela, a visionary of African classical lutes and harps. He is joined by an ensemble of deeply attuned artists:
Reza Khota – Guitar
